Reasons Cards May Not Be Dropping

New Steam accounts and accounts that have recently refunded a game fall under the Limited User Account restrictions and may have to spend a minimum of $5.00 USD, and/or wait three hours before the first card will drop.

If your account isn't Limited and cards still aren't dropping, one of the following is usually the cause:

• No card drops remaining — each game only awards half a card set (rounded up) per license, plus extra drops for in-game spending on free-to-play titles. Check the game's remaining drop count on its badge page.
• Offline mode — Steam can't register playtime or issue drops for a game while your account is not connected to the Steam servers (e.g. no internet connection). This is not the same as setting your account status to "Offline", which has no affect on whether cards will drop or not.
• Not enough playtime yet — most games (especially those purchased within the last 14 days) need around 2-3 hours of accumulated playtime before the first card drops, separate from the Limited Account delay above. This is to prevent users from buying games, farming them for cards, and then refunding the game before the 2-hour playtime refund limit is reached. This is only true for some users and not all.
• Newly added Steam store games — games that are newly added to the Steam store can take until Steam's next weekly maintenance (Wednesdays, Pacific time) to register, and drops may not count until then.
• Different per-game intervals — each game's developer can set their own card drop interval. Most games drop a card every 30 minutes, while others can take up to 2 hours
• An unstable internet connection while idling can prevent a completed drop timer from being tracked correctly.
• The game is marked as private on your Steam profile.
• The game was obtained through Family Sharing — only the license owner's account receives card drops.
• The game is in your Card Farming blacklist.
