Debug Settings
The Debug tab provides tools for diagnosing issues and managing SGI's local data. If something isn't working as expected, start here before reporting a bug.
Logs
The Logs panel displays a live view of SGI's internal activity, including errors and events from features like Card Farming and Achievement Unlocker.
- Clear — removes all entries from the log view
- Open Log File — opens the folder containing the log file in File Explorer
Log files are stored at:
%appdata%\roaming\com.zevnda.steam-game-idlerIf you're reporting a bug on GitHub, include the relevant lines from this log file to help diagnose the issue. See the Troubleshooting guide for more information.
Clear Data
Wipes all local data stored by SGI, including your game lists, custom settings, and cached information.
This action is irreversible. You will be logged out and all locally stored data will be deleted. Your Steam account and library are not affected.
Use this as a last resort if SGI is behaving unexpectedly and a settings reset hasn't resolved the issue.
Reset Settings
Resets all SGI settings to their default values without deleting your game lists or other data.
This action is irreversible. All settings — including your API key, credentials, theme, and feature configurations — will be cleared.
This is useful if you've misconfigured something and want to start fresh without wiping everything.
Export Settings
Export your current SGI settings to clipboard. Use this to:
- Back up your configuration before making changes
- Transfer your settings to another machine
- For debugging when opening an issue on GitHub
The exported file can be re-imported by placing it in the SGI settings directory (see Open Settings below).
Open Settings
Opens the folder where SGI stores its settings file in File Explorer. This is useful for manually inspecting or editing the settings file, or for pasting exported settings to restore a previous configuration.
